Honing on a lathe
Honing is used in fields requiring high dimensional and shape accuracy. Usually honing is one of the last work steps in the production of machine parts. By integrating honing into our CNC lathes, you reduce the number of work steps and increase productivity. The honing module is integrated directly into the workspace of the lathe.

Honing characteristics
- Reproducible shape and position tolerances with integrated honing on the lathe:
- Roundness: ≤ 0,5 μm
- Cylindricity: ≤ 1 μm
- Straightness: ≤ 0,1 μm
- Dimensional accuracy: ± 0,5 μm
- Roughness (Rz): ≤ 0,5 μm
- Diameter range: 1 – 5 mm (in μm steps) larger diameters on request
