GOFuture - lathe

gofuture_web.png
A high variety of versions combined with the highest demands on precision and the greatest possible flexibility characterise this machine series. Starting with lathes with a linear tool structure up to simultaneous complete machining on the main and counter spindle with two turrets, the GOFuture offers a very wide range of different possibilities.

All variants of the GOFuture lathe can be automated either via Benzinger's own loading and unloading devices with the shortest possible workpiece change times or separate robot cells. The installation of a bar feeder also enables complete machining from the bar on the lathe.

State-of-the-art controls from Siemens and Fanuc with various programming options complete the overall package.

Awide range of turning spindles with spindle passages of 26 to 42 mm with radial and axial run-out down to 0.7 µm and speeds of up to 8,000 rpm are available in combination with various clamping systems for powerfull but also sensitive clamping of the workpieces.

Y-axes expand the application possibilities of the CNC lathe in machining and also reduce the set-up times, as the fine adjustment of the tools to the centre height can be carried out via the NC axes of the machine tool itself.

Variant B1 - GOFuture lathe

The linear tool structure offers amximum stability and the shortest chip-to-chip times in the lathe. In combination with the Y-axis, the tools are arranged in several rows one above the other. In addition to the turning tools, high-frequency spindles, grinding spindles, milling spindles, air turbines, etc. can also be included.

Variant B2 - GOFuture lathe

A 12-station tool turret with VDI 25 tool holder and optionally 12 individually driven positions can be supplemented with additional linear blocks. This combines the precision and variety of the linear design with the flexibility of a tool turret. Optionally, the turret can be extended to 16 stations, also with 16 individually driven positions. The advantages of the Y-axis also become fully effective.

A high-precision version of the turret interface for the VDI 25 holders is available for the CNC lathe to optimise set-up time. The reproducible repeat accuracy when inserting the tool holder is significantly below 0.01 mm. Tools in the holder can be measured externally and time-consuming readjustment in the machine is no longer necessary.

Variant B3 - GOFuture lathe

The B3 variant is equipped with a main and counter spindle, enabling complete machining of the workpieces in the lathe. Tool turrets with VDI 25 holders with 12 (optionally 16) individually driven stations are used. The advantages of the Y-axis become fully effective.

A high-precision version of the turret interface for the VDI 25 holders is available to optimise the set-up time. The reproducible repeat accuracy when inserting the tool holder is significantly less than 0.01 mm. Tools in the holder can be measured externally and time-consuming readjustment in the CNC lathe is no longer necessary.

Alternatively, the tool turret can also be replaced with a linear tool carrier.

Variant B4 - GOFuture lathe

The B4 variant is equipped with a main spindle and a tailstock. The tailstock can be designed either as a pneumatic quill or as an NC tailstock. Great impotance is given to a sensitive pressing of the tailstock tip in order to prevent deformations, e.g. on filigree components. Tool turrets with VDI 25 holders with 12 (optionally 16) individually driven stations are used. The advantages of the Y-axis also bemome fully effective.

To optimise the set-up time, a high-precision version of the turret interface is available for the VDI 25 holders. The reproducible repeat accuracy when inserting the tool holder is significantly below 0.01 mm. Tools in the holder can be measured externally and time-consuming readjustment in the lathe is no longer necessary.

Variante B6 - GOFuture lathe

For simultaneous complete machining on the main and counter spindle, the B6 variant is equipped with a second turret. Tool turrets with VDI 25 with 12 (optionally 16) individually driven stations are used. A flexible tool holder concept in combination with a 48-fold control of the turret allows a significant increase in the number of tools in the lathe. Both tool turrets can also be equipped with a Y-axis. Linear tool carriers can also be used instead of the tool turret.

To optimise the set-up time, a high-precision version of the turret interface is available for the VDI 25 holders. The reproducible repeat accuracy when inserting the tool holder is significantly below 0.01 mm. Tools in the holder can be measured externally and time-consuming readjustment in the machine tool is no longer necessary.

Variante B6X - GOFuture turning- / milling machine

The GOFuture B6X enlarges the GOFuture series with a turning/ milling centre for simultaneous machining that is ideally suited for small and large series production. For simultaneous complete machining on the main and counter spindle, the B6X variant is equipped with a milling spindle and a turret. With the HSK-T40 milling spindle, which can be swivelled by 90 degrees, machining on the main spindle is possible at up to 30,000 rpm. The Y-axis increases the range of aoolications in machining. The integrated tool changer offers space for 100 tools that can be exchanged in the milling spindle and enables a high autonomy time. For machining on the counter spindle, a tool turret with one VDI 25 holder and 12 individually driven stations is available. Optionally the turret can also be equipped with a Y-axis.

A wide range of turning spindles are available in the turning-milling centre. Spindle diameters from 26 to 42 mm with radial and axial run-out down to < 0.7 µm abd speeds up to 8,000 rpm are possible in combination with various clamping systems for powerful but also sensitive clamping of the workpieces. The GOFuture B6X turning / milling centre can be automated either via Benzinger's own loading and unloading devices with the shortest possible workpiece change times or separate robot cells. The installation of a bar feeder also enables complete machining from the bar. The Siemens ONE control with vatious programming options rounds off the overall package of this turning and milling centre.

Tool changer of the turning and milling centre with 100 tools:
  • Designed as a chain magazine in a tool cabinet
  • Integrated in the machine housing
  • Separate changing station for maual insertion or removal of tools
  • Control panel at the changing station
  • Tool holder HSK-T40
